Building a body of work

Its been much too long since I have had any work in a galley - almost four years I think. So this spring I am trying to build a stack of canvases, in the hope I can put some work in and around the Aberdeen area.

Drawing Classes resumed!

This year, just yesterday, the drawing classes I have tutored at Rosemount community centre have started again, running from mid-January to March.  Yesterday, I had the largest attendance yet  - a whole ten people!

It's actually enough people to make me need to change the way that I teach - with more people, lesson plans have to be a lot more rigid, and can be tailored less to the individual, which is what I was able to do last term.

Nonetheless, I continue to take the desires of my students into account when designing the lessons - asking people what they want to learn is much harder than just telling them things, because most people have only a hazy idea of what they want, at best
