I’ve been Interested
in Pop Surrealism for a number of years, and wanted to work in a surreal, sybolistic and expressionate way from time to time. I didn’t and don’t want these to be merely personal works, but they don’t fit well into the established canon of my usual work. Thus, I created a division of my practise which I called PencilSword. PencilSword was the first division that I used to group my interests, and has become something of a character that I can inhabit in order to work in this way.
